Kenneth Speed arrives at Millstead school in his early twenties, nervous and determined to hide it. Through the summer term and the year that follows he learns the politics of the common room, handles unruly boys, and falls into a sudden passion that leads to marriage and to a much harder lesson about himself.
An early novel by the author of Goodbye, Mr. Chips, already alive to the world of English schoolmasters. Download the free EPUB.
