George of Blanchelande and Honey-Bee of Clarides are raised together by her mother the Duchess and grow up devoted to each other. When they disobey and wander to the forbidden lake, George is carried off by the water-nixies and Honey-Bee is taken underground by the dwarfs, whose little King Loc shows her halls of gold and falls in love with her.
A graceful fairy story by the future Nobel laureate, as charming for adults reading aloud as for children. Download the free EPUB.
