Tom Reade and Harry Hazelton, fresh from high school, arrive at a railroad survey camp in the Colorado Rockies as cub engineers. They are tested by the chief, harassed by the camp bully Bad Pete, bitten by a snake, and suspect that somebody has doctored the field notes, as the troublemaker ‘Gene Black tries to wreck the work.
The first of Hancock’s Young Engineers series, which follows the friends from his Dick Prescott books into the working world. Download the free EPUB.
