Germany, Russia, China, Monaco and several other powers all invade England on the same bank holiday, and the country is too busy with the cricket scores to notice. Young Clarence Chugwater, Boy Scout, takes matters in hand while the invading generals are lured onto the music-hall stage.
Wodehouse’s early parody of the invasion-scare novels of 1909, pure fun from start to finish. Download the free EPUB.
