Winthrop drives his friends to the Harvard–Yale game in his scarlet car, with Miss Forbes in the back seat beside her pompous fiancé, Peabody. In three linked episodes, as jail-breakers, trespassers and kidnappers, the car carries them into scrapes with constables and night watchmen, and Winthrop discovers how much he would like to change the seating.
