Little Lucy, kept indoors for a fortnight, is given a globe by Mother Bunch and visited each day by children from another country: the South Seas, Italy, Greenland, the Tyrol, Africa, Lapland, China and more. Each tells her of home, food, games and customs, and she rides with them in imagination.
A Victorian picture of the world for children; its national portraits reflect 1871 ideas. Download the free EPUB.
