On her fifteenth birthday Mabel announces her life’s plan: she will be a missionary to the heathen. Yet she sulks over music practice, resents her mother’s wishes and grudges her cousin Isabel the pleasure of playing for her father. The story follows her slow discovery that the work she longs for begins with patience and kindness in her own family.
A gentle Victorian moral tale for girls, typical of Emma Leslie’s many Christian stories. Download the free EPUB.
