In a small brown cottage covered with roses live the two small children called the Jimmyjohns, whose mornings, sailor suits and adventures with a gull open this book. Other stories follow: the sad fate of the doll Polly Cologne, a little girl’s diary, the bad luck of Bubby Cryaway and what made Mr. Tompkins laugh.
