Matilda, freshly scrubbed and furious, is whisked away by a Cockatoucan whose laugh transforms everyone around it. Elsewhere a princess is cursed with baldness, a bouncing ball takes children wherever they want to go, sums come right by magic, and two children find a town built in their library that contains another library with another town.
Nesbit’s sly, inventive short fairy tales, as funny for adults reading aloud as for children listening. Download the free EPUB.
