Bailey gathers old-world animal tales from many peoples, noting how the same stories turn up in different folklore. Children meet the eagle that went hungry, Lambikin, Brother Wolf and the rock, Little Bear, and Ibbity from Madagascar, with cumulative tales from Norway and an ancient Hebrew rhyme like the Old Woman and Her Pig.
Short, rhythmic stories made for telling aloud to young children. Download the free EPUB.
