Michael, a singing Irish terrier from the Solomon Islands, is carried off by the steward Dag Daughtry on a voyage that ends in San Francisco. When his master disappears, the dog falls into the hands of animal trainers, and London follows him behind the footlights of the trained-animal acts.
Published after London’s death with a foreword that launched the Jack London Clubs against performing-animal cruelty; a companion to Jerry of the Islands. Download the free EPUB.
