A boastful tiger called Mountain Uncle raids the villages of Kang Wen; the goblin Tokgabi plays his tricks; a bridge of fishes saves the hero East Light; and Prince Sandalwood becomes the father of Korea. Griffis, a longtime writer on East Asia, retells these stories with notes on topknots, crockery hats and Korean custom.
An easy, charming introduction to Korean folklore for young and older readers. Download the free EPUB.
