Bunny Ross rides beside his father, J. Arnold Ross, as the self-made oilman buys leases, drills wildcat wells and makes a fortune in Southern California. Growing up, Bunny befriends the radical Paul Watkins and his evangelist brother Eli, and is torn between love for his father and sympathy for the oil workers, socialists and a world of Hollywood stars and bribed politicians.
The novel loosely adapted as the film There Will Be Blood, drawing on the Teapot Dome era. Download the free EPUB.
