The Conspirators, also known as The Chevalier d’Harmental, was one of Alexandre Dumas’s early novels, first published in 1842. Set during the Regency of Philippe d’Orléans in the early eighteenth century, it follows a young aristocrat drawn into a plot against the regent, entangling him in a world of secret meetings, disguises, and romantic complications in the streets of Paris.
Dumas’s storytelling energy and atmospheric period reconstruction are already fully formed in this early work. Download this public-domain classic as a free EPUB.
