Hal Overton and Noll Terry come home with commissions as second lieutenants, only to be ambushed by a town rowdy and hauled before a court of inquiry on false charges. Cleared, they are ordered to frontier duty on the Rio Grande, where arms are being smuggled to Mexican rebels and a stealthy intruder tests the young officers on night patrol.
An army adventure for boys set during the border troubles of the 1910s; its portrayal of Mexicans is of its era. Download the free EPUB.
