Young Elmer Elevator takes in an old alley cat, and she repays him with a secret: on Wild Island a baby dragon is being held prisoner by the animals. Packing chewing gum, lollipops and a toothbrush, Elmer stows away and talks his way past tigers, a rhinoceros and a crocodile-filled river with nothing but his wits.
A short, funny read-aloud adventure from 1948 that young listeners ask for again and again. Download the free EPUB.
