Published in 1894, The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes is the second collection of short Holmes stories — eleven cases that include some of the series’ finest achievements, among them “The Adventure of the Gloria Scott,” “The Musgrave Ritual,” and the story in which Holmes reveals the existence of his brother Mycroft. The collection ends with “The Final Problem,” in which Holmes confronts his arch-nemesis Professor Moriarty at the Reichenbach Falls.
These stories represent Conan Doyle’s artistry at a peak. Download this free EPUB from Better Gutenberg for all eleven cases in a beautifully formatted edition.
