Kisch practised at Marienbad and wrote what was, in 1910, the most comprehensive medical account of women’s sexual and reproductive life: puberty, marriage, conception and pregnancy, the menopause, and the disorders attaching to each. Its assumptions are of its period, and it is best read as a document of what medicine then believed.
