This regimental history follows a Scottish yeomanry regiment from training at home in 1914 through service abroad in 1915, Egypt in 1916 and the Palestine campaign of 1917, when the men, by now the 14th Battalion of the Black Watch, supplied guards for the holy places of Jerusalem. Casualty figures, officers’ names and photographs record the cost.
