Rushed out after the sinking of the Lusitania, this compilation gathers survivors’ stories, accounts of heroism aboard and a British inquest that called the Kaiser a murderer, then turns to the destruction of Louvain and other wartime outrages in Belgium. It is openly partisan, and some of its atrocity stories were later shown to be exaggerated.
