Part of the series How America Went to War, this volume by the Assistant Secretary of War and Robert Forrest Wilson tells what happened after the Armistice. It covers halting the draft and production, shipping the American Expeditionary Forces home across the Atlantic, discharging soldiers, soldier welfare, settling thousands of war contracts and storing the arsenals’ machinery against another war.
