Josef Baudiš translated these tales from Czech collections made in Bohemia and Moravia. They include “The Twelve Months”, in which a mistreated girl is sent into the winter snow for violets, the hero Víťazko, Silly Jura, Sleepy John, magic boots, cloak and ring, and a herdsman tested by the Devil’s grandmother.
A rich, little-known collection of Central European folklore. Download the free EPUB.
