In a smoke-blackened cabin in Ohio’s Fire-Lands, a long-haired frontiersman and his great yellow mastiff are twice warned of danger. Silver Hand the Wyandot, a battle at Strong’s, treason inside the fort and a night attack by British-led warriors follow in quick order during the War of 1812, in the style of the classic dime novel.
