In the foothills of the Canadian Rockies, the ranchers and remittance men known as the Noble Seven expect to make short work of the young preacher sent to them. The Sky Pilot earns their respect by courage and good humour, and his friendship with Gwen, a wild, crippled ranch girl, becomes the heart of the story.
