In the open-range days when Wyoming was still a Territory, Lin McLean is the youngest cowpuncher in camp and the best breaker of wild horses. Linked stories follow him on a visit back East, a hasty courtship of a biscuit-shooter at a railroad eating-house, his care for a small boy he calls Responsibility, and a fateful meeting at Drybone.
Wister’s warm-hearted Western from the years before The Virginian, full of humour and feeling. Download the free EPUB.
