After the death of his Duchess, Plantagenet Palliser, former Prime Minister and now Duke of Omnium, finds himself alone with three grown children who all seem bent on disappointing him: Lady Mary loves a penniless commoner, Frank Tregear; Lord Silverbridge has been sent down from Oxford, joins the wrong party and loses a fortune at the races; and his choice of bride is an American.
The last of the Palliser novels, a moving portrait of a proud father learning to bend. Download the free EPUB.
