Jack Hinton, a confident young officer of the Guards, is sent to Dublin as an aide-de-camp at the Castle and arrives full of English notions about the Irish. Reviews and a sham battle in the Phoenix Park, balls, practical jokes, wagers and a night of trouble soon teach him otherwise, as he takes his chance among the natives.
Rollicking military comedy from the creator of Charles O’Malley, originally illustrated by Phiz. Download the free EPUB.
