At Gilroyd Hall, an old red-brick house near the village of Saxton, lives Miss Dinah Perfect, a spinster with a passion for spiritualism, and her adopted nephew William Maubray. William is in love, his aunt has her own ideas, and the spirits she consults seem to have opinions too, as rivals, quarrels and misunderstandings pile up in a light comedy of courtship.
A rare comic novel from the master of the Victorian ghost story. Download the free EPUB.
