Commissioned by the London Standard to report on his lecture tour, the old sailor and author Frank T. Bullen travelled through Australia and New Zealand and recorded what he saw. He praises mighty Melbourne and the queen city of the south, considers sane socialism and the young giant of Australian industry, and offers some friendly criticism of British policy in the Pacific.
A vivid, enthusiastic portrait of Edwardian Australasia by the author of The Cruise of the Cachalot. Download the free EPUB.
