A New England tutor decided to spend the spring vacation in Europe and took several of his private pupils along. Their letters home describe England, France, Holland, Belgium, Prussia and Switzerland as young Americans saw them in 1851, from London to old Parisian churches such as Saint-Étienne-du-Mont.
A fresh period view of the European tour, for readers curious about nineteenth-century American travellers. Download the free EPUB.
