An English walker sets off south from Martel in Guyenne toward the Dordogne and wanders through the valleys and limestone uplands of eastern Aquitaine. He visits Rocamadour, goes underground into caves, follows the Célé and the Lot, crosses the Albigeois and the Rouergue, climbs onto the Black Causse and descends the canyon of the Tarn, lodging in village inns.
Unhurried, observant travel writing on a corner of France still little visited. Download the free EPUB.
