After seven years in Hollywood, Charlie Chaplin played hookey and sailed for Europe. He describes the crossing, the crowds that met him, his return to the London streets of his poor childhood, a memorable night in the city, meetings with H. G. Wells and Thomas Burke, and his trip on to France and beyond, quoting the begging letters that pursued him.
A funny and surprisingly tender travel memoir by one of the most famous men in the world at that moment. Download the free EPUB.
