John Davidson set out through Morocco in the 1830s hoping to reach Timbuktu, and was killed in the desert before he got there. His brother printed these notes from his journal for friends: rough, immediate entries on Moroccan towns and court, desert guides who could track a lost horse by sight and scent, and the preparations for the journey south.
A rare, privately printed record of North African exploration, for readers of the race to Timbuktu. Download the free EPUB.
