Little Jannita sits crying beside a milk-bush on the red karoo while the Angora goats she herds graze around her, and her dream of escape meets a harsh reality. Two more pieces follow: a memory of a girl of fifteen and a rose in a rough up-country town, and a sharp satire on protection.
Brief, powerful pieces by the author of The Story of an African Farm. Download the free EPUB.
