Jessop signs on to the Mortzestus in San Francisco despite rumours that the ship is not right. On the long voyage, men glimpse grey figures climbing out of the sea, sails are mysteriously loosed, and the crew grows more frightened as the attacks escalate.
The third of Hodgson’s linked weird novels and one of the eeriest sea stories ever written, by a former sailor. Download the free EPUB.
