Zeederberg’s post-cart, drawn by eight mules, bumps across Bechuanaland toward Rhodesia, carrying travellers into a settler society of gossip, card games and rivalries. The skies, the river, love and finally war each call in turn, in a story of passion and pride in a colony on edge.
A popular colonial romance of 1911 whose racial attitudes are those of its time and place. Download the free EPUB.
