Christmas Evans rose from a poor farm boyhood to become one of the most famous preachers of the Welsh revivals. This volume gives a memoir of his early years, conversion, first preaching, backsliding and recovery, drawn partly from his journals, and then a large selection of his vivid, image-rich sermons in English translation.
