Samuel Phillips Day retold Bunyan’s allegory almost entirely in words of one syllable, so that children could read it for themselves. Christian still leaves the City of Destruction with his burden, struggles through the Slough of Despond, meets Worldly-Wiseman and the Interpreter, fights Apollyon and passes through Vanity Fair with Faithful and Hopeful.
A gentle first reading of the great Puritan allegory for children learning to read. Download the free EPUB.
