When the regular cook of the space-ship Leo falls ill just out of Sand City, the crew, flying under sealed orders, pick up a replacement on Phobos. The new man has a piping voice and a talent for disaster, and before long Captain O’Hara’s ship is under fire with tractor beams locked on stern and prow.
