Old Bratton sweeps the studios of radio station XCV in Hollywood, gaunt as Karloff and touchy about mad scientists, chiefly because he is one. When his invention draws the attention of men who want it, a young couple at the station, Gascon and Shannon Cole, find themselves bundled into cars and caught up in a scheme involving robots.
A brisk pulp novelette from the December 1940 issue of Comet, by the writer later famed for his Silver John tales. Download the free EPUB.
