Printed in Boston in 1788 under the name “a Columbian Patriot”, this pamphlet attacks the proposed federal Constitution for lacking a bill of rights, rushing ratification and concentrating power. Once credited to Elbridge Gerry, it is now attributed to Mercy Otis Warren and reached its largest circulation in New York. A short prefatory note introduces it.
