Eldred Woodcock, a Pennsylvania backwoodsman, set down from memory half a century of camps, trap lines and hunts, first for the readers of Hunter-Trader-Trapper. He tells of early trapping, bear hunts on the Kinzua, deer seasons with greenhorn guests from Pittsburgh, and later trips into the South and West, with practical observations on game and furbearers along the way.
Plain-spoken and full of incident, a favourite with readers of outdoor memoirs and the history of American woodcraft. Download the free EPUB.
