Eleanor Vere Boyle, the illustrator who signed herself E. V. B., kept this record of her own garden through the round of the year and dedicated it to her husband in 1884. Month by month she notes what blooms and when, watches flowers open at a sunny window, quotes the poets, and lets the garden lead her into memories, legends and reflections.
A gentle, much-reprinted garden book that suits anyone who reads about flowers as happily as they grow them. Download the free EPUB.
