After a letter to The Times about a fine honey harvest brought a flood of enquiries, the Victorian preacher John Cumming wrote this book for cottagers and amateurs. He argues that bees can bring both money and enjoyment, explains how to begin, and covers swarms, queens, royal cells and the humane taking of honey without killing the hive.
A practical and affectionate Victorian manual for anyone who keeps or dreams of keeping bees. Download the free EPUB.
