Swedenborg describes how, with his inner senses opened, he spoke with the spirits and angels of other worlds: Mercury, Jupiter, Mars, Saturn, Venus, the Moon, and earths among the stars. He records their customs, worship and character, and closes by explaining why, in his view, the Lord chose to be born on our Earth rather than another.
