Each chapter borrows a fairy-tale label, from the Princess and the Ogre to the Good Fairy and the Transformation, but the setting is a modern American summer. It begins when stout Miss Mehitable Upton, in the city to buy stock for her shops at the resort of Keefeport, sits down in a crowded restaurant, and moves on to a country farm where young Geraldine longs for spring.
A gentle, warm-hearted romance for readers who like their love stories wholesome and their villains easily reformed. Download the free EPUB.
