Elder Loveless loves a lady who treats him with scorn and sends him off on his travels. In his absence his prodigal younger brother takes over the house, feasts a gang of hangers-on and sells land to the usurer Morecraft, while a sharp-tongued steward, a waiting gentlewoman, a curate and a rich widow are drawn into the schemes.
One of the most popular comedies of the Jacobean stage, quick and bawdy in the manner of its day. Download the free EPUB.
