Published in 1838, these comic character studies classify the young men of London society. Among them are a bashful youth tormented at a dinner party, a swaggering out-and-out man about town, a very friendly young gentleman, a military dandy, a political oracle, and Felix, the domestic young gentleman with his books and his flute.
