A short collection of comic rhymes that retell the old myths with a wink and a modern idiom. Actaeon, Adonis, Proserpina, Penelope, Sappho, Syrinx, Tithonus, Ariadne, Io, Dido and Daphne each get a jingle, and the poet admits in his proem that the stories have been slightly expurgated so as to pass the mails.
A quick, playful read for anyone who knows their Ovid and enjoys seeing the gods taken down a peg. Download the free EPUB.
