Written by his son, this life follows Adoniram Judson from his New England boyhood and consecration to mission work through the voyage of 1812 to Burma, the hard years in Rangoon, war and imprisonment, and the later mission at Maulmain. It does not hide his spiritual crises, including a period of mystical leanings toward Fénelon and Madame Guyon.
